The Young men of the Tallahassee Kappa League and the Tallahassee Chapter of Distinguished Young Gentlemen hosted their 4th Annual Teen Step Show and Scholarship Event recently. In addition to the University Recruitment Fair that was sponsored by Florida A & M University, youth from the Leon County and surrounding areas were eligible for a chance to win FOUR $4,000 scholarships that were issued during the stepshow intermission by Dr. William Hudson, VP of Student Affairs. These types of positive grassroots events hosted by local student organizations have become key to creating a climate of unity and collective teamwork within Leon County. Congratulations to Distinguished Young Gentlemen and Code Red for winning first place in the stepshow as well as the four seniors that received scholarships.
