When the teacher becomes the student....

Due to the accelerated nature of our courses in the summer, when we arrive in Delaware we have one session with the professor before we take our mid-term. As the test were being handed out, I could just feel this sinking in the pit of my stomach. I knew I had studied the materials before I came. I knew I had worked hard. But in that moment I questioned if it would be enough. Then I took a deep breath and started working.

I enjoy what I’m studying and the experience has reminded me of what it’s like to be on the student side of things again. It’s been a reminder of how important it is to be clear with my expectations and the learning objectives. I’ve found great value in being reminded what it feels like to be in another’s shoes.
