Congratulations to our Summer 2015 Grant Winners! 

Each winner received a $500 gift card along with other Envision goodies.

 

Lizzie Massey of Astoria Park Elementary School will be using her grant to purchase the Feeling Buddies Self-Regulation Toolkit for her first grade students. The feeling buddies are used to teach children to recognize, accept and respond appropriately to their emotional upsets.

Jaime Formato of Woodville Elementary School is using her grant to buy “Oh, Snap – Electrifying Science in Second!” for her second grade class. The project teaches students firsthand how and electricity and energy is used to do work or cause change.  

Patti McMullen of Buck Lake Elementary School is using her grant to buy “Birds and Butterflies, Oh My!” for her fourth grade class to build and maintain a bird and butterfly garden for their school. 

David Snowden of Governor's Charter Academy is using his grant to buy the NASCAR Project for his 6th-8th grade students to learn the science, technology, and marketing aspects of operating a NASCAR team. 

Katherine Chitty of Ruediger Elementary School is using her grant to purchase an iPad Air for her 1st grade class to use in her classroom math center along with the "Go Math" curriculum.

Julie Thomas of Fort Braden Elementary School is using her grant to fund an reading incentive program for her 4th grade class to assist in reaching their 9-weeks reading goals. 

Daniel Ring of Kate Sullivan Elementary School is using his grant to buy “Weather Forecast Goes Green”  to teach his 5th grade class to investigate daily weather patterns followed by creating their own daily weather show.
