Congratulations to our Fall 2016 Grant Winners! 

Each winner received a $500 gift card along with other Envision goodies.

 

Erma Sever of Roberts Elementary School for her project titled “Red Fox Review.” Erma used her grant to purchase an iPad for her student reporters who write the Red Fox Review newspaper at school. By participating in the school newspaper, student reporters learn valuable writing, editing, and interviewing skills.

 
Lauren Colangelo of Fort Braden School for her project titled “iLearn iNdividually.” Lauren used her grant to purchase an iPad and apps with fun learning games and quizzes. This provides access to thousands of books and increase learning ability of all students.
  Christen Goad of Lincoln High School for her project titled “Using Technology to Kindle Reading Abilities in Students with Print Disabilities.” Christen used her grant to purchase five Kindle Fire Tablets and the Learning Ally program. The project’s goal is to improve course grades and increase scores on the Florida Standards Assessment.
Karissa Davidson of Roberts Elementary School for her project titled “The Sky’s the Limit.” Karissa used her grant to purchase an eight-session STEM curriculum and the needed supplies to implement the program. The program included everything from building towers to engineering flying technologies.
  Rosalyn Collins of East Gadsden High School for her project titled “Literacy to Promote Literacy: Using Reading, Mathematics, and Simulation to Improve Financial Literacy.” Rosalyn used her grant to purchase books and piggy banks to teach financial literacy to her high school exceptional student education students. These lessons teach reading, basic, and arithmetic through simulation of real life choices.
 Melissa Keorner of Buck Lake Elementary School for her project titled "The Creative Coding Classroom." Melissa used her grant to purchase the Osmo Coding game. With this, students can learn to code on computers, animating both their stories and math lessons.
