We are proud to join with a student-created non-profit called Books for Bailey.
Books for Bailey was started by Kayden Moreno at the age of 16. At the time, Kayden was a student at Chiles High School in Tallahassee, FL.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Kayden realized the student access to libraries had become extremely limited. Getting books to kids had a unique set of challenges. And kids in need were especially impacted. He wanted to help them continue to be able to read during the lockdown and has since continued doing so.
Kayden, now a Freshman at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, majoring in Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence, along with the help of his parents, and Envision volunteers, will collect and deliver donated books to local reading programs that support children in the Envision member areas in North Florida and South Georgia. The goal is that every child keeps the books they receive through Books for Bailey efforts.
If you would like to donate books for our ongoing book drive, feel free to do so at any of our walk-in financial center locations. We also have drop boxes located at the following four financial centers: Killearn, Quincy, Hansell (Thomasville) and Marianna. To find a location near you CLICK HERE.
