See what we do

At Envision Credit Union, our employees strive to improve the lives of residents in Tallahassee and surrounding communities. Our dedication to these volunteer and sponsorship efforts reinforces our belief that we all benefit from stronger communities.

Supporting 10 Years of The Best and Brightest

2015 marked the 10th anniversary of The Best and Brightest.  Through a partnership with World Class Schools of Leon County and local Leon County area private and public schools, Envision has been honored to help award over $400,000 in scholarships to more than 1,200 students in the program’s 10 year history.

High school seniors from around the county are offered the chance to be recognized for their academic achievement in a particular area, as well as their service to their community and school.  Each student submits a packet outlining their achievements for both academics and service.  Then, category winners from each school are interviewed to contend for the top place in their category.

Help us congratulate the winners of The Best and Brightest, not only this year, but for the past ten years!

School Involvement Program

The 2014-2015 school year is Envision's second year for the School Involvement Program (SIP).  Since 2013, we have partnered with a local Title I school to provide volunteers, support and mentoring for an entire school year.

Our employees give back to our community through this program by helping to mentor a child, volunteering in the classroom and assisting with school events throughout the year.  The SIP program was created by a group of Envision employees and is still operated by employee volunteers today.

The schools we have supported through this program so far are:  Fort Braden School (2013/2014), Ruediger Elementary (2014/2015).

Teacher Grants

Each quarter, we offer six $500 classroom grants to educators in our membership area totaling $12,000 of giveback directly to our teachers each year.  Teachers have used these grants to bring technology into the classroom, provide financial literacy to their students and to teach students about community service.

Swipe for Schools

Swipe for Schools allows us to donate five cents back to Leon County Schools, up to $10,000, with every swipe of an Envision VISA Credit Card. During the first year of our program, during the 2013-2014 school year, we were able to support Leon County Schools by using the funds to provide meals and books to 300 plus students for the duration of the Spring Break holiday.

The second year of our Swipe for Schools initiative is quickly coming to a close. In August, we kicked off the second year of the program with a new logo and look to match our new brand. We are excited to share that we are currently planning the appropriation of funds for the 2014-2015 school year. To learn more about the program, check out our dedicated Swipe for Schools page.
